Funny Sassy Girl!

Yesterday on my lunch break at work, I ran to Target (my fave store!) and, as always, I had to look through the little girls clothes where I found a cute sundress on clearance. When I brought the dress home to Zoie, she loved it; she put it on right away and, as you can see, added some interesting accessory choices! After some modeling, she delighted us with a performance (with some coaching from ol' stage mom here)! Enjoy!

Birthday Party @ Solid Rock Gymnastics

This is a little video of Zoie doing the zipline at a birthday party she was invited to over the weekend. The party was held at a gymnastics center and she LOVED jumping on the mats and trampolines and, of course, this zip line!

Yes, yes...we are still here! Blame it on the phenomenon of Facebook for the lack of posts on here! I can upload multiple pics at once on Facebook so I've been slacking and adding pics there...I will try to do better on keeping up the blog for you non-Facebookers and those who enjoy my witty commentary...Ha!

My Baby is 3!!!

First a little retrospective of the last 3 years....


And now - a sampling of Zoie's 3 year photos. Such a sweet, silly girl!! What did I ever do to deserve such a blessing - thank you, God!!!

Easter 2009 ~~He Is Risen...Hallelujah!!!~~

On Saturday of Easter weekend, we went out to our friend, Terri's house to meet up with her and her boys to attend a local egg hunt in her small town. Zoie was very excited to see the boys and they all had fun picking up eggs! Luckily, they were very easy to find so everyone got plenty of loot! The Easter bunny was there, but Zoie was a little afraid of him so no photo of them together. After the hunt was over, we went back to Terri's and the kids played on Luke & Liam's awesome swing set...they sure had fun together and were all so cute!

Easter Sunday morning, Zoie and I got up and went to church...Zoie looked like quite the young lady in her Easter dress, pretty new shoes and hat!

After church, Pop-pop Jim was generous enough to take us with him and his family out to dinner. Grandma wasn't feeling well again, darn it, so she was home resting. At the restaurant, I asked Zoie if she wanted chicken strips or hamburger & fries - she chose the hamburger...well, when our food arrived, she tried to take one of Travis' (Jim's son) chicken strips! I told her that I'd asked if she wanted chicken and Travis joked, "Whaddya expect? She can't make up her mind...she's a woman!" Zoie promptly looked around the table at everyone and announced, "I AM a woman!" You can imagine the laughter that ensued and the evil eye that Travis got from me!

We came back home after dinner went to Pop-Pop's for another Easter egg hunt! Zoie did really well finding her eggs and we all had a nice time. After that, my challenge was keeping Zoie out of all the chocolate!!

Zoie's New Shoes

Thanks to the wonderful world of ebay, I found these really cute shoes for Zoie to wear this spring/summer. I fear I am creating a shoe monster! Upon seeing these, her eyes got big and she said, "Ooooohhh...I LIKE dose shoes!"

There was a promotion at Zoie's pre-school to get some old-time photos taken so we went and had them taken; she really enjoyed dressing up and playing with the cute props. They got some great photos all in about a 15 minute sitting! Love that!
